Veterans Day Keynote Speech
Rowlett honored the U.S. armed forces today during a Veterans Day ceremony at the Rowlett Community Centre.
The ceremony included musical performances by Ms. Senior America 2002 Mary Virginia Tuinstra, a dance routine by the Rowlett High School Silver Rhythm Dancers, a keynote speech by Peter Burns and a participation by students of the National Honor Guard Academy.
Frisco Chamber of Commerce
Peter Burns was honored as the 2014 Citizen of the Year for his work in promoting Frisco through the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, serving as president of the Frisco Education Foundation, and working to promote and gain funding for youth programs such as the FEF Mindbender Academy and the Chamber’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy.
